Job SummaryThe Behavior Therapist (BT) Intern is an Internship position.
The BT Intern provides individualized, earlyintervention services directly to clients and other client related activities.

Essential FunctionsProvides direct therapy to clients following client program plans ensuring goals and objectives are being metDocuments therapy services accurately and timely (i.
e.
data collection, reporting parent and Partners In Excellence communications and client information)Works under supervision to provide direct therapyCompletes the required technical training and participates in ongoing training opportunitiesRedirects, intervenes, observes, and monitors client behaviorsCommunicates effectively with all staff membersMakes sound decisions and uses good judgment when dealing with clients, parents, and coworkersDemonstrates dependability and consistency in therapy and other job related activitiesCommunicates daily progress and client concerns to the appropriate staff membersOrganizes and cleans clients space and equipmentAssists in keeping the facility safe, organized, sanitary, and guides others to do the sameAssists clients with personal care including:
dressing, toileting, personal hygiene, food, nutrition, and diet needsAttends and participates in meetingsReports all safety concerns to the Safety Director or his/her direct supervisorMaintains client confidentiality at all timesGreets parents and clients by name and engages in respectful conversations with clients and fellow employeesEngages only in competent exchanges of information with parents.
