00pmOVERVIEWWorking as Full-Time Compliance Specialist, you will be a strategic link between Fastenal's Procurement, Supply Chain, Accounts Payable, Quality, Product Development, Customers, and Sales Teams. Your main responsibility will be providing first level support for supplier compliance needs relative to supplier vetting and onboarding to support the field/customer demands. Some key areas supported by this team include:
Certificate of Liability Insurance, Supplier Reviews, Supplier Diversity, Sustainability, Supplier Creation and Maintenance. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.RESPONSIBILITIESThe duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Prequalifying potential suppliers to include risk reviewso Creating and supporting supplier relationshipso Correcting, verifying, and maintaining supplier information and documentationo Generating ad hoc reportso Communicating with various departments on supplier progress and remaining needso Enforcing company policy with regards to supply chain complianceo Manage ticketing system requests from internal teams via Service Nowo Using PeopleSoft, 3rd Party resources, Internet Searching, Smartsheet, and Microsoft OfficeREQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONSThe following skills and qualifications are required for this positiono Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as neededo Excellent written and oral communication skillso Proficient using Microsoft Office Suiteo Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service orientedo Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilitieso Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skillso Demonstrate strong math aptitude attention to detail and sense of urgencyo Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environmento Work independently as well as in a team environmento Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamworko Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)ABOUT USSince 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
